In order to make our site more accessible for people with disbilities, we would like to point out how windows provides several accessibility features.

For people who have restricted movement, the keyboard can be used for the mouse pointer, and you can adjust your keyboard settings.

For people with low vision, bigger fonts and high-contrast colour schemes are available.

For people who are deaf or hard-of-hearing, Windows can visually indicate when the computer makes a sound.

HOW TO CHANGE ACCESSIBILITY OPTIONS:

  1. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel
  2. Double Click Accessibility Options
  3. Click the Tab for which feature you wish to alter e.g. Keyboard, Sound, Display, Mouse
  4. Within each of these sections, click on Settings and choose the settings most appropriate to you.
  5. Click on Apply and then Click on OK

As part of our YSI project, we set up this website to raise awareness of the issue of discrimination against people with disabilites in Dublin, focusing mainly on wheelchair users.
